A bit sweet, a bit spicy, and totally delicious. ⠀ .⠀ INGREDIENTS (serves 4 ):⠀ ----------------------------⠀ Jamaican Rub⠀ 1/2 tablespoon dried thyme leaves⠀ 1/2 tablespoon ground allspice⠀ 1 tablespoon brown sugar⠀ 1/2 teaspoon salt⠀ 1/2 teaspoon pepper⠀ 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder⠀ 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon⠀ 1/16 teaspoon cayenne (for mild spice ) or 1/8 teaspoon (for spicier )⠀ .⠀ Jerk Chicken Lunch Bowls⠀ 3/4 cup uncooked quinoa⠀ 2 large chicken breasts⠀ 1 tablespoon olive oil⠀ juice 1 lime⠀ 2 bell peppers, cut into large chunks⠀ 1 large zucchini, cut into large chunks⠀ 2 mangoes, cubed⠀ .⠀ DIRECTIONS:⠀ ----------------⠀ Pre-heat oven to 425°F.⠀ Cook quinoa according to package directions and allow to cool.⠀ Stir together the rub ingredients and set aside.⠀ In a medium bowl, toss the chicken in half the olive oil and lime juice. Sprinkle with half the rub and toss to coat evenly.⠀ Arrange on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.⠀ While chicken is baking, prepare the veggies: toss in the remaining olive oil, lime juice and rub. Gratitude challenge: MY BABIES So extremely grateful that I have the ability to bring such amazing gifts into this world. I will forever be thankful for these two kiddos making me a mommy. From every amazing milestone, smile, pure love and emotion to the challenges that make me and them grow. The process from when they were growing in my belly to helping them grow outside in this world. I am still amazed that my body can produce milk in order to feed my babies. I love watching their faces light up as they see and learn new experiences. I love that my hard work of pushing to teach them all that I know pays off when they say their first word, or grab a spoon and eat on their own or even lift their heads up for the first time. I will push everyday for you two. You are the best gifts in this world. I never knew a love like this before. I am forget grateful. Mom life truly is the best life.

This mashed cauliflower with 🍄 gravy is such an easy side to put together, you might reconsider your love of mashed🥔 (jk, 💕🥔 ) For my #veganthanksgiving this year, I steamed cauliflower and mashed it with almond milk, salt, pepper and white miso for a little extra funk. The 🍄 gravy is made with criminis, lots of tamari, rosemary, thyme and nutritional yeast for a delicious savory sauce. What’s your go to veg gravy??
Here’s a THREE DAY food diary! 🤔 One of the most common questions I get: how many days do you meal prep for? . 🤓Heres a visual breakdown of a typical Sunday meal prep, split up into how I actually eat the meals. . 👍🏼 on Sundays, I prep 3 breakfasts and 5 main meal options that can be either lunch or dinner. . 👌🏼Then on Wednesday nights (see how there’s a blank space? ) I usually cook again for the rest of the week, sometimes including Wednesday night dinner. . 🎦By the way, you can watch me prep the turkey burgers and chicken bowls in my first ever full meal prep video!! the link is in my profile! . 😅It took me a looooong time to figure this formula out but it’s perfect because I get variety, my food is eaten within 4 days so it’s fresher and I have less to cook (and clean ) on my prep days. Stuffed acorn squash is festive, delicious, and makes its own edible bowl! I filled mine with a stuffing inspired mixture of brown rice, quinoa, celery, tempeh, mushrooms, rosemary and thyme. Spaghetti squash is making a comeback in the Cavanaugh household. Tonight's version? Spaghetti squash bowl with meatless meatballs, almond milk cheese and garlic!
#MeatlessMonday inspo >> this has been one of my go-to meal prep recipes lately. Just combine @traderjoes red lentil pasta (cook entire bag according to package directions ). Then for sauce: cook on stove one can @traderjoes canned puréed butternut squash (or you can use canned pumpkin! ), vegetable broth (use however much you want based on how thick/thin you want the sauce ), 2 tsp olive oil, sea salt, pepper and garlic powder. I just do all of the seasonings to taste, and adjust as I go. Then combine sauce with pasta. I like to top with nutritional yeast, kale and Brussels sprouts. Keeps in the fridge all week so I like to make a big batch on Sundays. Recipe makes about 4-5 servings.

Gratitude challenge: SUPPORT SYSTEM It's easy to go on everyday and have your support system but fail to tell them how much you appreciate them. How thankful you are they are in your life and how grateful you are for their love and support everyday. I am very thankful for my husband. He works hard everyday so I can be at home with the kids and pursue Mommy-do. He helps me with my ideas , events and constantly pushes me to be better. It's a new week! Are you all set with your preps? Thanks to @choosing_balance for this delicious post! - - - Another packed lunch but it's full of my favs so no complaints from me 🤗 Ate this for a late lunch before getting a run in 🏃🏼♀️ Having a meal prepped lunch allowed me to spend time with the fam, still get a workout in, and not have to spend money on a lunch out 💯 It took me about two hours to pack up my meals for the weekend but in my mind it's so worth it. Meal prep has relieved so much stress from my life 🙌🏻 If anyone ever has any questions, feel free to message me because I know it can be intimating. Spending the evening packing and going to bed early because I've got an early flight to Ohio tomorrow morning ✈️ Excited to see some family I haven't seen since summer 💞 Anddd the boy is coming with me which makes even more exciting 💃🏼 ☀️ ------------------------------------------ whatsforlunch 1 piece of salmon (Trader Joe's chili lime seasoning and then cooked over medium for 3 mins on each side in @primalkitchenfoods avocado oil ) + zoodles with tomatoes (zoodles spiralized and cooked in ghee for just a few mins ) + 1/2 avocado with Trader Joe's everything but the bagel seasoning + roasted red potatoes (roasted at 400F for 35 mins with Italian seasoning ) ❤️

I am in the middle of eating this dough right now by the spoonful because it’s that good!! @cleaneats_cleantreats you KILLED it with this recipe and pretty much ruined every other Energy Ball for me!! If you aren’t following @cleaneats_cleantreats do it now, her recipes are amazing. Also you probably need to make these ASAP! 📷: @cleaneats_cleantreats Almond Joy Powerballs yield 30 balls Ingredients 1 1/2 cups old fashion oats (slightly broken down in the blender ) 1 cup almond butter (I use Justins ) 1/2 cup toasted (don't skip that ) unsweetened coconut 1/2 cup raw honey 1/4 cup enjoy life chocolate chips 1 scoop chocolate protein powder ( from @cleanmondaymeals I did not use any protein powder in mine. ) 2 tbsp cocoa powder 2 tbsp chopped almonds 1-2 tbsp coconut milk (start with one, depending on the consistency you may not need to add the other ) 1 tbsp coconut oil, melted 1 tsp almond extract 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1/4 tsp sea salt Instructions Combine all dry ingredients in kitchen-aid mixer bowl. Mix on low until ingredients are well blended. Add wet ingredients to blended dry ingredients. Mix on medium speed until a "dough" forms. Scrape sides of bowl with a spatula and mix again if needed. Remove bowl from Kitchen-aid stand. Using a 2-inch cookie scoop form dough into balls. Set balls on a parchment lined cookie sheet or storage container and refrigerate for at least one hour or until ready to eat. Keep refrigerated up to one week, if they last that long! Enjoy!

Meals on meals on meals! This week is grilled chicken and "house" salad. We layered salad accordingly in our mason jars so they don't get soggy and they turn out amazing every time! I wanted something no carb for lunch and the hubs @a.s.m.fitness is always in support of anything I want to cook so he was all about it for his lunches too. I swear this guy is the best, making my health and nutrition so easy everyday 😊 Having him there helps incredibly! Also his grill skillz are spot on 😍 Oh man and side note, not pictured, our red wine salad dressing we made is also so easy and delish. Let me know if you want the recipe! You'll love! We stopped buying bottled salad dressing for the last few months even, so yum. See you this week as we'll be downing our grilled chicken salads! #nomnomnom 😂
