Hump day! Day 12 . I'm sorry for the low activity. I am currently sat nibbling on a dry crumpet after being poorly the last 3 days! ☹️. . But I thought I'll spare the 'sympathetic' selfie! And instead share one of my snaps from Sydney. I miss working out!! So desperate to go back and smash it and not eat bland bread and soup! Means I am more determined to get back on it!! . Sod this, Get me back in that gym! 😡👊
Day 10 . This weekend I travelled home to see family, which meant an early rise, long drive and no gym. . Sometimes, when you are so focused you can neglect other important things around you. Quality family time with my family is quite rare because we all live in other parts of the country! . Besides, big cardio potential taking this poochie for long walks. 👍 He doesn't look impressed in this photo but is always asking for cuddles. If you have or have had a dog you know... ❤️❤️🐺
Day 7 + 8! . Yesterday was a rest day, although I did toy several times whether to go or not but ultimately your body (or mine at least ) does benefit from having 24hours healing time before I'm back on it! . Today was chest! I was going to post an unflattering picture of me pulling a strained look and failing on cable fly's! But instead, making the bed I glanced round and just caught eye of myself . I am so critical of myself, "Why can't I see much progress, what do I need to change, what am I doing wrong," BUT for the first time since starting this process again, I was shocked hence the look on my face haha as I saw or what felt like a less bloated and more toned me! . TRUST the science everyone. Good diet and exercise pays off. Now to work on that pancake booty 🙈👍 . Happy Friday!!!
Day 6, Leg day! . Hamstring curls, The method I use is straight up and a controlled release back down. I've actually upped my weight recently too so was really chuffed with this set! . Total workout ⏺️Barbell squats 5x12 reps. ⏺️Leg extensions 3x15 reps. ⏺️Superset with hamstring curls 3x15 reps. ⏺️Leg press 3x6 reps. ⏺️Lunges 2x20 reps. ⏺️Walking home with wobbly legs 1 set 🙈 . Oh and Happy Valentine's day! 💞
Pancake Day for day 5! - Cardio . After a quick HIIT session today it was time to get home and get baking! . I'm sure lots of you are making delicious protein pancakes tonight! Or treating yourself to a cheat day and going all out! I went for the chocolate protein and raspberry ones! But if I was to cheat it would be Nutella, banana and hazelnuts 😍🥞* . What's your favourite!?
Happy Monday! 💪 . I won't lie, I don't wake up everyday as soon as my alarm goes off, feeling a million dollars, full of energy and buzzing to get to the office! . BUT!! . I DO have energy and motivation for the gym, my fitness, being heathy, happy, eating well, hitting my goals, inspiring others and sharing my journey. I just wake up looking similar to this 😳🙈 . Looking forward to triceps tonight for DAY 4! Happy Monday- LETS DO THIS! 🌻👊
DAY 3 - Back & biceps! . Sunday session! My new found favourite is close grip t-bar rows. I really feel this working my entire posterior chain. It's great! Thrown in with pull ups, rack pulls dumbbell curls, cable hammer curls and cable preacher curls 😰 . Any more back workouts let me know! I really embrace trying new things. DAY 2! . Keeping myself fuelled with this delicious avocado, chilli and lemon on seeded toast and a poached egg. 🙌 . When I found out avocado was fatty and high calorie I was so sad because it's one of my favourites! BUT studies show that if a lady eats one ripe avo per day for a week they will start to shed bad fats as the body is getting the good fat that it needs. 🥑 Yay for Avocado! - Although personally I wouldn't eat one every day! Just goes to show when we get the balance right we can eat foods we love 🌱 . Happy Saturday! Thanks for brunch @saintespresso 🙌
DAY 1 ☝️ . 11 weeks today I'll be hitting the sunny coast of America for my holiday's! Currently 68kg, it's not about 'losing weight' but lifting it! I'm going to see how hard I can push myself. . Starting as I mean to go on this morning with chest. Again, I never felt comfortable doing this, always the much bigger, stronger, most often men using the bench press and I wasn't confident enough to then walk up and use it when someone much bigger would have wanted it! Over time I've learnt I am there to improve me and they will just have to wait to bench their 100kg+ while I do a PB on 20! 🙈... . Happy Friday! 🏋️
Happy hump day! . When I first started out training squats were my least favourite thing, my trainer would demonstrate and I felt silly squeezing and thrusting...but after seeing my strength get better and my booty grow its arguably one of the best exercises for your body! . Throw that bashfulness out the window, focus on you, your goals and "get your ass to the grass!" 🍑🙈🌱 -Tip feel the weight through your heels, and squeeze! Happy Wednesday!
Tuesday training! . Declined bench, is one of my favourites - don't ask me why! I think it's because I really feel every part of my core getting worked! . 10kg plate, sit ups, then hit the twists! I don't always lay all the way back down, but it's great for a cheeky abdominal stretch if you gently let the weight drop back above your head! 🏋️ . I always look to mix up my sessions, any other core workouts I can, please try let me know 👇 - Thanks 🙂
Monday's Meal! . Today's gym session was shoulders and cardio, followed by cod fillet with a pepper crust and fresh veggies. . Tasty, quick and clean! This took less than 20 minutes to cook including prep! Tip - Bake Cod in the oven, less mess and no calorific oils needed! 🐟😎 . What was your Monday meal??
