A study completed at Carleton University found that cannabis consumers that smoked 5 joints a week or less had higher IQs than non-smokers. IQ scores of 70 test subjects were measured at ages 9 to 12. They then measured again when the subjects were between 17 and 20, each categorized by level of cannabis use. Moderate smokers scored the highest. Interesting 🤔

With recreational weed being 14-20% more than medicinal, it's apparent which is the smarter choice. Having your medical card on you allows you to freely consume marijuana while following the law. Medicinal marijuana also allows you to carry more product compared to being a recreational patient. Your next medical card is only a few mins away, get yours done online!

Did you know that the cannabis industry is projected to create more jobs than manufacturing by 2020? A new report from New Frontier Data projects that by 2020 the legal cannabis market will create more than a quarter of a million jobs. This is more than the expected jobs from manufacturing, utilities or even government jobs, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The BLS says that by 2024 manufacturing jobs are expected to decline by 814,000, utilities will lose 47,000 jobs and government jobs will decline by 383,000. This dovetails with data that suggests the fastest-growing industries are all healthcare related. What are Cannabinoids? One hefty word that belongs in every medical marijuana patient’s vocabulary is cannabinoid. Cannabinoids (e.g., THC and CBD ) are the chemical compounds secreted by cannabis flowers that provide relief to an array of symptoms including pain, nausea, anxiety, and inflammation. These work their medicinal magic by imitating compounds our bodies naturally produce, called endocannabinoids, which activate to maintain internal stability and health. To put a complex system simply, they mediate communication between cells, and when there is a deficiency or problem with our endocannabinoid system, unpleasant symptoms and physical complications occur. Did you know that cannabis may help reverse the carcinogenic effects of tobacco and improve lung health? According to a study published in Journal of the American Medical Association in January 2012, marijuana does not impair lung function and can even increase lung capacity. Researchers looking for risk factors of heart disease tested the lung function of 5,115 young adults over the course of 20 years. Tobacco smokers lost lung function over time, but pot users actually showed an increase in lung capacity. It's possible that the increased lung capacity may be due to taking a deep breaths while inhaling the drug and not from a therapeutic chemical in the drug. Did you know that there are 779 different cannabis strains? Of all 779 what is your favorite strain? “Breeding new strains is actually a big piece of cannabis culture. And it’s a really interesting process. When a grower wants to create a new strain, they cross a male cannabis plant of one strain with a female cannabis plant of another strain. And the end result is a new plant with a genetic makeup that includes stuff from both parent plants. Depending on what a grower breeds together, the end result might be an Indica, a Sativa, or some sort of hybrid. It’s all about what a grower uses as the parents. Growers usually try to target certain characteristics. If they want a strain that will produce a certain type of high, they’ll combine two strains that each give users particular effects. Or if they want a plant that’s really good for medicinal uses, they might cross together two strains that each have proven health benefits.” Source: https://www.greenrushdaily.com/many-different-cannabis-strains/

Did you know that Marijuana is the slang term for portions of the Cannabis plant?
